X Shore reveals model for shuttle services & coast guards
The eight-meter-long X Shore Pro will be launched in an open and closed version. X Shore is not yet providing detailed information on propulsion and prices. However, the key technical data is said to be comparable with the Eelex 8000. As reported, this model has a 225 kW motor and batteries from Kreisel Electric with 126 kWh capacity.
The X Shore Pro is available with a cabin whose interior can be configured with seating for eight passengers and two crew members – depending on the business model. There is also an open version with more cargo space on deck. Each model is built to order at the company’s factory in Nyköping, Swedens. One of the first Pros will be used to transport Swedish schoolchildren in the archipelago, for example.
“The X Shore Pro shows that electric boats can make a big difference and reach more people’s lives,” says Executive Director Jenny Keisu. “We can’t expect citizens to single-handedly drive the shift to zero-emission transportation that we need to slow climate change – that change needs to be driven by businesses, cities and policymakers. With the introduction of the Pro, X Shore is providing a valuable tool for achieving sustainability goals.”
In addition to the Eelex 8000 and the new X Shore Pro model, the Swedish manufacturer offers the much more affordable 6.5-meter X Shore 1 boat, with prices starting at 99,000 euros. The latter was introduced in 2022 and has been delivered since July 2023.
