X Shore 1 now being delivered

The Swedish company X Shore has announced on social media networks that it has started delivery of the first X Shore 1. To commemorate the social media launch the company also physically launched an X Shore 1 purely electrically.

The Swedish company presented the X Shore 1 model in late summer 2022 for 99,000 without a top or 109,000 euros with a top (net in each case), which is considerably cheaper than the manufacturer’s electric debut model, the Eelex 8000.

The X Shore 1 measures 6.5 meters (the Eelex is 8 meters long), with a glass and carbon fibre hull. The electric boat is available with and without a soft top. Customers can also choose between three specifications: Utility, Performance and Premium. The battery capacity is 63 kWh, and the battery packs are supplied by Austrian specialist Kreisel Electric.

At the end of June, Bosch announced that it was working with X Shore to develop an improved e-drive for the X Shore 1. The Swedish company raised 300 million Swedish kroner, a little over $29 million in a financing round in April this year. The fresh capital will be used, among other things, to scale production and invest in the North American market.

The X Shore 1 is the second electric boat from the (almost) eponymous manufacturer. The first, the Eelex 8000, is equipped with a 126 kWh battery and has been available since 2021, starting at 329,000 US dollars (301,600 euros). To commemorate the start of deliveries, the company physically launched an X Shore 1 model with an electric Volvo FM crane from a local dealer and thus launched an electric boat purely electrically.
