Harley opens order books for S2 Del Mar
The second all-electric motorcycle of Harley-Davidson’s LiveWire brand, the S2 Del Mar, can now be pre-ordered in the US. In Europe, customers can reserve the motorcycle from 27 April – and they have to be quick, as there are only 100 units available.
These will be available across four markets – France, Germany, Netherlands and UK. It is not clear if there is a certain percentage of the available units reserved for each market or if it is first-come-first-serve. In any case, European customers must pay a $100 reservation fee. The first deliveries are scheduled for September.
Order books for US customers have already opened. The electric motorcycle can be pre-ordered in three different colours there, and deliveries will begin in July.
LiveWire initially also limited the launch edition in the US to 100 units. There were sold out only minutes after the bike’s premiere in May 2022.
In the US, the S2 Del Mar starts at $15,499. In Europe, the price tag differs for each market: €20,190 in France, €19,990 in Germany, €20,390 in the Netherlands and £18,990 in the UK (which is equivalent to €21,540). In Europe, all prices include sales tax.
LiveWire does not mention any technical details in its release, however, we do know that is built on the Arrow platform. At the bike’s premiere, it was said to have a power output of 60 kW and weigh 440 pounds or 200 kilograms. The range was given as 100 miles (160 kilometres).
The launch comes just a month after the brand’s first all-electric motorcycle, the LiveWire One, became available for pre-order in Europe. At the time, the company said that deliveries would begin in April.
