Blink Charging redesigns free-standing EV charger
Blink Charging announced the introduction of its redesigned mobile charging station. The free-standing mobile charging station supports 240-volt AC charging and provides up to 7.7kW of charge to electric vehicles.
The new mobile charger is available immediately and is marketed to i.e. roadside assistance providers and EV fleet operators. The device itself is fuelled by gasoline.
Blink first introduced the mobile charger about three years ago. The first version had an output of 9,6 kW, so a little more than the updated version. But it was also more than 120 pounds heavier (about 55 kilograms) and larger. The new version is thus more compact, making it easier to store for mobile use. It was also fitted with wheels, making it easier to move.
Moreover, the charger can be connected to WiFi, ich which case EV drivers “charge through their Blink account or pay for the electricity received,” it says on the website.
“We are excited to introduce our all-new, innovative portable EV charger that is available now. This product creates confidence for EV drivers and fleet operators that there is a reliable and cost-effective solution for vehicle rescue and uptime,” says Michael Farkas, Founder and CEO of Blink Charging.
