Movie heroes to save both the world and the environment

Electric cars are increasingly finding their way into films and series. The streaming giant Netflix has announced that it will increase the presence of electric vehicles in shows and films it produces itself. The first step is a cooperation with General Motors. VW is also placing its electric cars in films.

Over the next year, GM’s electric models Chevrolet Bolt EUV, GMC Hummer EV pickup and Cadillac Lyriq will be featured in selected Netflix productions, including ‘Love is Blind’, ‘Queer Eye’ and ‘Unstable’.

Volkswagen is also using a film as an advertising platform: the VW ID.4 will be seen in the upcoming Marvel film ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’, which will be released worldwide in mid-February.

BMW also had its iX3 placed in a Hollywood film some time ago, with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Even Spider-Man has driven electrically with a Hyundai Ioniq 5.
