Clean Logistics announces three hydrogen truck orders

The truck and bus retrofitter Clean Logistics has received new orders for the delivery of hydrogen trucks. This involves a total of ten trucks with hydrogen fuel cells, which are to go to three projects in the first half of 2023.

As part of the H2 logistics hub in Neumünster (Schleswig-Holstein), Clean Logistics will deliver a total of seven trucks converted from diesel to hydrogen power to project partners in the first half of 2023, according to the company. Corresponding supply agreements have been signed. The 40-tonne trucks with diesel engines are scheduled to arrive at the Winsen site in the coming weeks and will then be converted.

The aim of the project there is to set up a sustainable hydrogen-based hub for freight transport in Neumünster – including the production of green hydrogen and its distribution, the construction of a filling station infrastructure through to actual use in the transport industry. In addition to Clean Logistics and Hypion GmbH, the Logistik Initiative Schleswig-Holstein e. V. includes companies such as Edeka, Ernst Krebs, Herbert Voigt and Netto.

In addition, Clean Logistics has signed supply agreements with the German freight companies Hans Wormser and Pflaum for the delivery of one and two converted H2 trucks, respectively, which are also scheduled to be handed over to customers in the first half of 2023. Details of these H2 trucks are not disclosed. All vehicles will receive funding from the German Federal Ministry of Transport.
