Porsche improves EPA range of 2023 Taycan in the USA
Porsche has significantly improved the EPA-estimated driving range figures of all 2023 Taycan model variants in the US compared to the range ratings from 2022. “Incremental software improvements since launch,” are responsible for the improved ranges, according to the German luxury carmaker.
The range increase of around 50 kilometres (31 miles) according to the WLTP cycle results from the carmaker’s updates that increase powertrain efficiency. The most dramatic range gain is seen in the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo.

Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo has a range increase of 9.9 per cent. The Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo range has increased by 9.3 per cent, while the Taycan 4 sedan only gains 3.5 per cent, irrespective of whether this is the standard battery or with the Performance Battery Plus. The base Taycan sedan, now has an EPA range estimate increase of four per cent.
The newest models of the Taycan GTS sedan and the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo which will first be out in 2023 retain their EPA estimated ranges, which still fall below the competition at Tesla, Mercedes-Benz and Lucid Air.
