Solectrac announces uptake of electric tractor orders
The Ideanomics subsidiary Solectrac has announced several new orders, totalling 17 new electric e25 tractors to the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources and a “leading private sector plant nursery”.This is the first major reported order for the burgeoning electric tractor company. The company first appeared on our radar in August of 2021, when its CEO and first electric tractor model were announced, with plans to begin deliveries this year. Since then, Solectrac has allied with Nolan to build a factory in the USA, as well as preparing and expanding a dealership network in the USA.
“Our sustained investment to grow the Solectrac brand means that right now we are uniquely positioned to meet the big orders for electric tractors from large fleet operators,” said Robin Mackie, Ideanomics Mobility president. “This is an important, new revenue stream for us, building on the strong value already coming from the fast-growing Solectrac dealer network.”
