Bosch hires new unit head for Mobility Solutions
Bosch has announced that it will reorganise its Mobility Solutions business sector as an integrated business sector as of 1 January 2023. Mobility Solutions will thus have its own sector board, headed by Markus Heyn.
According to the statement, the aim of the reorganisation of Bosch Mobility Solutions is to be able to “serve existing and new customer needs with customised technologies and solutions from a single source”. To this end, the management team for all Mobility Solutions business units will be appointed as a sector executive.
Markus Heyn, who is already a member of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH and has been chairman of the Mobility Solutions sector since January 2022, will chair the new sector board. In addition to the 57-year-old, there are four other members: Andreas Dempf retains global responsibility for sales and customers of Mobility Solutions – he has held this position since the beginning of the year. Uwe Gackstatter, currently chairman of the Bosch Powertrain Solutions division, will assume responsibility for commercial tasks in future. Klaus Mäder, currently chairman of the Bosch Automotive Electronics division, will be responsible for operations, including all plants worldwide and quality. Mathias Pillin, currently chairman of the Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division, will assume responsibility for technology for the entire division.
“With the new management team, we will be well positioned to make the best of growth opportunities arising from the transformation of mobility,” says Heyn. In the coming months, the sector board of management will work with associates and executives from the Mobility Solutions business units, and with the participation of employee representatives, to shape the future positioning of the sector, Bosch said.
