Penske Truck Leasing teams up with Shell
In the USA, Penske Truck Leasing and Shell Recharge Solutions North America have announced a new joint initiative to support light-duty electric vehicle charging at Penske locations.
Initially, the project will deploy Level 2 electric truck charging stations with plug-and-charge capabilities, to support Penske’s growing battery-electric truck fleet in California. Further sites will be rolled out in four US states in 2022, while the company said that yet more locations can be expected in 2023 and beyond.
“Collaborating with Shell will help us expand and diversify our electric vehicle charging network and to support the light-duty electric vans we recently introduced,” stated Art Vallely, president, Penske Truck Leasing. “We continue to invest in growing our electric fleet and charging infrastructure to provide more options to customers seeking sustainable fleet solutions.”
Just last month Penske Truck Leasing has ordered 750 Ford E-Transits to rent and lease to its customers. The first units of the Ford E-Transit for Penske Truck Leasing are currently being delivered to Southern California.
