Recall issues for the BMW X5 PHEV
Around 5,000 examples of the BMW X5 PHEV have to go back to the workshop due to a problem with the high-voltage batteries. The vehicles were already there in autumn 2020 for a battery check. However, some cell modules will now be replaced.
“The production period of the potentially affected cells is identical with the update of the technical action,” a BMW spokesperson emphasised. At that time, some vehicles were not yet in the hands of customers, the company further explained the ‘double recall’.
