Volkswagen ID.5 & ID.4 Pro available to order in the UK
The Volkswagen ID.5 and ID.5 GTX are now available to order from UK retailers, alongside a new member of the ID.4 line-up: the ID.4 Pro. Prices start at £50,550 for the ID.5 Tech Pro and £41,430 for the ID.4 Life Pro.

The ID.5 is solely available with the largest battery pack from the Volkswagen line-up; a 77 kWh battery, which is capable of providing a range of up to 313 miles. With a maximum charging capacity of 135 kW, the ID.5 can charge to 80% in as little as 29 minutes at a rapid charger, or “a rate of six minutes to recharge 62 miles”. Three options are available for the new model on launch: the 174 PS Pro, 204 PS Pro Performance, and 299 PS GTX, which features a bespoke, stand-alone performance trim.
The ID.5 GTX has a 112 mph top speed and can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 6.3 seconds. As mentioned, the lower end of the ID.5 prices start at £50,550, while the ID.5 GTX Max retails for £58,640.
Volkswagen also advertises that both ID vehicles are manufactured net carbon-neutral in Zwickau, Germany, as the factory is powered by renewable energy. Volkswagen has worked closely with suppliers, in particular battery-cell manufacturers, to ensure supply chain use of renewable energy.
The new ID.4 variant stands at a lower price than the previous models with £41,430. It still features the same 77 kWh battery, and is capable of up to 318 miles range. The ID.4 Pro sits between the 52 kWh 170 PS Pure Performance, and the 204 PS 77 kWh Pro Performance. Both ID.4 models have a 0-60 mph acceleration of 10.4 sec and a top speed of 99 mph.

The Volkswagen ID.5 has been bestowed with an additional trim level in the UK, available across all three of its powertrain variants. The ID.5 Style serves as the new entry-level derivative for the Pro, Pro Performance and GTX, starting at £49,735 for the ID.5 Style Pro.
The Style follows the rest of the ID.5 range with multiple equipment packages, and as the entry-level model, will only have a few vehicle options to specify. These include the energy-efficient heat pump (£1,050); 3-pin mains charging cable (£190); Trailer Hitch (£890); and, over the other ID.5 models, the Infotainment Package Plus (£1,350).
