Renault & Dacia fail crash tests
Euro NCAP, the crash test organisation, has slammed the two latest electric cars from Renault and Dacia in its latest tests. Renault’s Zoe is not awarded a single star and Dacia’s Spring only receives one star out of a possible five.
Secretary-General Michiel van Ratingen comments that “safety has become collateral damage in the group’s transition to electric cars”. He continues: “Not only do these cars not offer any significant active safety as standard, but their occupant protection is worse than any other vehicle we have seen for many years.”
