BYD closes up shop in France

The Chinese manufacturer BYD is closing its electric bus production facility in France. The first electric buses were produced at the BYD plant in Allonne near Beauvais in France at the end of 2018.

Since the grand opening of the facility, however, only about 30 vehicles have left the production halls due to a lack of orders.

Well, I wish they would move to the UK, then, where BYD have sold hundreds of them! What's going on in France? Unions too powerful?
