Ford targets Fordwich in rural England: In the 380-strong community of Fordwich, Ford has installed charging facilities with British Gas and allowed residents to try out a Ford Mustang Mach-E. The measure is designed to increase trust in electric vehicles.

The unusual campaign was motivated by the worrisome results from the automaker’s Go Electric opinion survey showing that car buyers from rural areas (82 per cent), villages (76 per cent) and smaller towns (79 per cent) are still uncomfortable with the idea of swapping their fossil-fuelled vehicles for an EV.
