Batteries from e-bikes for louder music

In a bid for more second-life uses for batteries, Gomi is launching a limited edition portable Bluetooth speaker powered by batteries from old Lime e-bikes. This involves 50,000 battery cells from over 1,000 old e-bikes from the sharing provider.

The speakers start at prices of £99 (around $138), features 20 hours of battery life and will be available via a Kickstarter page.
