EVBox enables pre-booked charge spaces in the UK
EVBox has signed a new deal with the British company YourParkingSpace to enable EV drivers to pre-book park and charge spaces across the country. YourParkingSpace also intends to set-up more EVBox charging spaces at Atlas Hotel sites across the UK.
The new agreement follows a trial at the Holiday Inn Express in Bicester, operated by Atlas Hotels, where five EVBox charging ports are installed. YourParkingSpace plans to install another 200 such business charging ports at further Atlas Hotels sites.
The charging app claims its aim is for EV driver never to be more than 20 minutes away from an available charging port. YourParkingSpace will establish pre-bookable park and charge spaces across the country at retail and hospitality locations.
EVBox charging management software already integrates with the YourParkingSpace app. Drivers can book and pay in advance for parking spaces fitted with EVBox charging stations through the app.
Jonathan Goose, EVBox director of the UK region, says the deal was “ushering in a new era of commercial charging in the UK.”
YourParkingSpace caters for consumers but also offers B2B parking solutions. They claim business processes through reservations generated £42.5million for its clients to-date. The app’s 65,000 private space providers range from individual driveway owners to Premier Inn, Tesco, and Morrisons.
