Out in the cold after a severe case of ICE-ing
Charging spots being blocked by entirely fossil-fuelled cars (ICE-ing) is, unfortunately, a common problem, but not many electric car drivers have experienced an ICE-ing as extremely as this Tesla owner: All of charging spots at a Supercharger location in Canmore, Canada, were occupied by combustion vehicles.
Teslarati notes that “ICE-ing is the equivalent of someone blocking a gas pump and leaving.” In this case, the whole gas station would be full of parked cars. While this was clearly a problem for the EV drivers trying to get home, at least the tow truck probably had a good day.
Parking violations as all charging spots were blocked at the #Tesla supercharger at @TownofCanmore. No spot for Tesla EVs to charge. Had to wait 30 mins before could find a charging spot. Action needed: @RCMPAlberta @DriveTeslaca pic.twitter.com/sSS0JdTK4Y
