Ford adds BP charging network for Mach-E
Ford is expanding its business partnership with BP by adding BP pulse, the British public charging network, to the Ford Pass.
The move ahead of the zero-emission Mustang Mach-E arrival increases Ford’s UK network from almost 3,000 charge points to around 9,500.
Mustang Mach-E owners will be given one year’s free bp pulse access, including high-power 150kW DC chargers, 50kW DC chargers and almost 6,000 7kW AC points.
Ford Mustang Mach-E drivers can use FordPass to locate and pay for charging at over 6,600 charge points in the UK belonging to the new bp pulse network. The latter has sprung from the joining of BP Chargemaster and the Polar network.
Besides, Mach-E drivers can get one year’s free subscription to Ionity’s ultra-fast chargers at 15 sites in the UK and five in Ireland, as reported.
The Mustang Mach-E is expected in the UK this spring with a targeted WLTP range of up to 335 miles. The rear-wheel-drive version has a 379-mile WLTP range, according to Ford.
