Alfen scores supply deal with Bee Charging Solutions

Sweden’s Bee Charging Solutions AB has chosen Alfen to supply the company with smart charge points for electric vehicles. The companies signed a framework agreement for an initial period of three years.

The partnership focuses primarily on real estate and companies, Bee and Alfen announce, but may also include home charging and public charging. This would cover Bee’s activities that include private and commercial clients. Alfen too offers a range of smart charge points for use at home, work and in public areas.

The Dutch provider also has a Smart Charging Network and Active Load Balancing solutions ready for installations which include more than one charge point. Bee reckons some of the customers would connect up to 100 charge points in a single installation and balance the available power across all vehicles charging. The main advantage of this solution is that charging speeds are maximised within the available local grid capacity, avoiding overloading the local electricity supply, according to Bee.

Bee is owned by three Swedish energy companies, Öresundskraft, Jämtkraft and Tekniska verken. In addition to offering charge points for EV charging at home and in public areas, Bee also provides companies and real estate owners with charging solutions for their employees, visitors, and residents.

Alfen is active across Europe and most recently made a deal with British Gas and Centrica. The company is also involved in energy storage solution, including using batteries from BMW.
