Arrival opens US headquarters in North Carolina
British electric commercial vehicle developer Arrival announced that it is establishing its North American headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, adding around 150 new employees and investing around $3 million towards the new company offices.
Founded in 2015, Arrival has developed a new method of designing and producing zero-emission commercial vehicles using its proprietary hardware, vertically-integrated technology and comparatively low-cost micro-factories. After going public last month, Arrival has now gained enough of an economic foothold to start rolling out their business strategy.
Arrival also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Charlotte, which sets out the intention to cooperate to achieve the goals set out in Charlotte’s Strategic Energy Action Plan.

This partnership forms a roadmap in how we design a regionally Integrated Transportation Ecosystem that pulls together components like EVs, charging infrastructure and digital mobility services, to enable more cities to achieve their zero-emission goals, connect local communities and future-proof transportation networks.”
