Electrify America expands charging solution business
The US American Volkswagen subsidiary, founded following the Dieselgate scandal, Electrify America announced the launch of Electrify Commercial. The new business unit will focus on the delivery of turn-key vehicle charging solutions to utilities and fleet operators.
The new business is unit designed to deliver turn-key electric vehicle charging solutions to utilities, fleet owners and operators, government entities and businesses seeking to manage their own network of chargers. This is a broader solution than what Electrify America has previously offered.
“As Electrify America works to expand the availability of electric vehicle public charging solutions, we have recognised a growing demand for custom charging solutions in the B2B sector,” said Rachel Moses, director at commercial services, Electrify America. “We are excited to introduce Electrify Commercial to fulfil this need, providing the full power of our charging expertise to businesses that prioritise electrification.”
The exact offer by Electrify America’s new unit Electrify Commercial contains the usual customised EV charging program tailored to fit the needs of the client”, but also will provide the rest of the services needed to launch a larger-scale charging park, such as site acquisition, including identification, research, and analysis of potential locations, and site development efforts to help maximize the use of space.
The charging capacities covered will include everything from Level 2 AC to 350kW DC charging, as well as intelligent monitoring and testing services.
