Danish ride-hailing company Viggo orders 300 Fisker Ocean
The Danish ride-hailing company Viggo, which specializes in electric cars, has ordered 300 Fisker Ocean. The Copenhagen-based provider was founded in 2019 and has 55 electric cars on offer to date. By the end of the year, the electric fleet is expected to grow to 100 vehicles.
Viggo plans to expand from the Danish market to Norway in the coming year. The 300 purely electric Fisker Ocean is to be used in the course of the “Scandinavian expansion”, according to an accompanying press release.
Fisker has agreed to deliver them in the fourth quarter of 2022. With its Ride-Hailing-Service, Viggo is primarily addressing business customers. According to the Danish start-up, the main argument in favour of Ocean was its flexible interior combined with the expected low operating costs.
Henrik Fisker, head of the American car manufacturer of the same name and himself born in Denmark by the way, describes the agreement with Viggo as “This agreement is the first of many multi-vehicle orders that we are planning to sign with both mobility companies like Viggo and large corporate fleets”. Only a few days ago Fisker announced that the Ocean would be built by contract manufacturer Magna in Europe. Production is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2022. Viggo will thus receive 300 of the first vehicles.
