EVBox & has·to·be conclude roaming partnership
EVBox and has·to·be have entered into a roaming partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will grant each other access to their charging networks distributed across Europe.
EVBox communicated in a statement that the own charging network would grow by an additional 8,000 charging points with the connection to the network of the Austrian software company has·to·be. In return, users of the Austrian company will gain access to 20,000 charging points from the EVBox network.
Both companies believe that interoperability with publicly accessible charging infrastructure is essential to achieve high customer acceptance. While in Central Europe the understanding for roaming is already “largely in place”, there is still a lot of convincing to be done in other regions such as Great Britain and Eastern Europe.
According to Lukas Bauer, Head of Partner Management at has-to-be, EVBox has “made a significant contribution to the establishment of charging infrastructure across Europe”. “The connection and partnership with EVBox mean a substantial increase in the network of publicly accessible charging points for the MSP customers of has·to·be,” Bauer continues. “We are pleased about this strong sign of cross-supplier cooperation in the interest of e-drivers”.
EVBox expressed the hope in the communication that the cooperation will “move eMobility forward and encourage more people to start driving electric”. In essence, that’s what Cecile Post, Business Developer eMobility Solutions at EVBox, added. “We at EVBox are on a mission toward a zero-emission future and are constantly onboarding new partners to join us on this journey”, says Post.
