Tesla Roadster still headed for the sun

The Tesla Roadster that SpaceX shot into space two years ago with dummy Starman onboard has now covered more than 1.6 billion kilometres according to the dedicated tracking website.

However, one can only speculate about the condition of Elon Musk’s electric car, as there is no live transmission over that distance. We can assume that, similarly to the US flag on the moon, the colors are bleaching away, as the unfiltered radiation from the sun does not permit much colour to brighten the blackness of space.
