Ludicrous gone wrong?
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has been petitioned to investigate cases where Tesla vehicles allegedly “suddenly” accelerated without driver intervention, particularly when parking.
The petition concerns 127 consumer complaints. There have apparently been 110 accidents with 52 injured as a result. The NHTSA is currently examining the petition and will decide shortly whether to start a formal investigation.
