Tesla takes aim for talking cars

Elon Musk made a short video to announce plans to let Tesla vehicles “talk” to pedestrians via external speakers. How exactly and when this will be implemented is not yet known, nor what the cars will possibly say.

We do not imagine something along the lines of the famous talking car from the 80s, however the question Musk is attempting to answer is a complex one. For one, the matter of sound pollution should come into play as we seek to improve urban traffic technology, but safety is another important balance.
