Sounds like a plan
According to a new survey by Venson Automotive Solutions, 43 per cent of British road users prefer that EVs sound like their ICE counterparts, while 23% would rather opt for a continuous low-decibel sound.
Six per cent of road users would prefer something a little more off the wall, such as classical music or whale songs to warn pedestrians of an approaching EV. We feel that something so soothing and calming is perhaps the wrong choice for a safety warning sound, however having to listen to a more penetrative noise all day on the road would also be a bit much.
