Skoda Citigo e iV priced in the UK
Skoda’s first fully electric car, the Citigo e iV, will be available for purchase in the UK starting at £20,455 before the government Plug-in Car Grant (PICG) discount of £3,500. The order books are set to open on the 10th of December 2019 with deliveries expected early 2020.
While based on the internal combustion engine Citigo, the Citigo e iV features a 61 kW electric motor and sufficient battery power for a WLTP range of 170 miles. The vehicle is designed to function in urban areas, and will be available with two trim variants, however both feature the same battery and electric motor, as well as identical performance levels.
Acceleration for the Citigo e iV from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) takes 12.5 seconds with the top speed set at 81 mph. Charging the battery can take up to 12 hours on a home charging station, but can be lowered to just over 4 hours with a wallbox. Using a CCS charger, 80 per cent of the battery can be charged in 60 minutes, the manufacturer adds.
