Kalashnikov shoots for another BEV
The Russian arms manufacturer has presented another electric vehicle. This time, their BEV design is aimed for use on public streets as a taxi.
After the famous Russian machine-gun maker had already surprised the public in the past with a retro-look electric car and a hybrid buggy, Kalashnikov is now presenting the prototype of a 650-kilo small electric car for taxi use, the Ovum UV-4.
The technical specifications of the Ovum are as follows: The 50 kW electric motor enables the UV-4 to reach a maximum speed of 80 km per hour, while the range stands around 150 km. The total unloaded weight is 650 kg, with a length of 3.4 m, 1.5 m width, and 1.7 m height.
