Govecs electric delivery vehicle roster up to 3
Govecs now offers delivery services new electric scooters with the models Elmoto Loop and Govecs Flex . This brings the number of cargo models from the Munich-based company to three.
At the moment, the Govecs product range includes the e-scooters from Schwalbe, GO! S, Elmoto and GO! T brands. All electric scooters made by German company are manufactured in their facility in Poland. With the introduction of the GO! T in November 2018, a further development from the Govecs Pro Cargo, the company has quickly established an electric scooter for delivery services. The strong growth in the area of food delivery services is accompanied by rapidly increasing order volumes and requires a rapid expansion of delivery capacities – Govecs now wants to better serve this market with the two models.
Among other things, the GO! T is used, in the “Domino’s” pizza delivery service. The model is a heavy-duty scooter with a payload of up to 180 kilograms, the new models, the Elmoto Loop and the Flex are aimed at a different target group. Govecs took over Elmoto in summer 2018, the Loop is the first new model.
The Elmoto Loop looks like a mixture of bicycle and scooter and is only suitable for delivery services that rely on a backpack for their couriers. As the vehicle weighs only 59 kilograms, it is very manoeuvrable and agile – suitable for delivery services in narrow old towns or busy city centres. The power output is 2 kW and the top speed 45 km/h. This means that the Elmoto Loop can also be driven with a car driving licence. Govecs does not mention a range in their press release, the removable battery should be fully rechargeable in four hours.
The Govecs Flex, on the other hand, can be equipped with a fixed delivery box but does not have to be. Alternatively, a top case or a second seat can be mounted. According to Govecs, the modular and robust design is suitable for various target groups in the mid-price segment. Thus the Flex closes the gap between the small and light Elmoto Loop without any delivery box and the larger GO! T heavy-duty scooter.
Both new vehicles will be available from September 2019.
