Explosion rocks Tesla Supercharger
While charging his Model X at a Supercharger in Plantation, Florida, a driver had to duck under his car to avoid a nearby explosion. However, the cause had nothing to do with the electric car: A nearby supermarket had a gas leak instead.
Fortunately, no one was killed in the explosion, however at least 20 people were injured. The Tesla driver was not among them, as the vehicle effectively shielded him from the falling debris from the building.
On the scene of a building explosion in Plantation, FL. A witness just shared this video of the aftermath. He tells me he heard the explosion as he was about to charge his Tesla. He dove underneath the front of it as debris fell all around him. pic.twitter.com/RRJ9kEA8GE
