Nissan revive Leaf Nismo RC electric race car
Nissan presents the newest generation of their fully electric race car Leaf Nismo RC, giving it twice more power than the predecessor. Two electric motors deliver a total of 240 kW power and 640 Nm torque for the all-wheel drive.
With this kind of setup, the vehicle is reportedly capable of doing the 0-100 kph sprint in 3.4 seconds. The lithium-ion batteries and the power inverter stem from the Leaf serial version. Yet, Nissan will build no more than six units of the new Leaf Nismo RC to impress at Formula E races and other events.
Let’s hope Nissan managed to come up with better battery cooling than in the series model.
