Aral & DLR envision the fuel station of the future
The German fuel BP subsidiary Aral asked the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to study how gas stations may look like in the future. The vision entails services for self-driving cars, landing spots for air taxis and more charging stations than fuel pumps.
Why fuel pumps at all? Well, Aral reckons that cars will still need gas, even in 2040. We will just assume they are referring to hybrid vehicles, and that diesel fuel pumps are not included in the futuristic lineup. Why put boundaries on a future vision after all?
