Jaguar reimagines electric city design
Together with the London architecture office Barr Gazetas, Jaguar has developed multiple concepts to showcase how electric mobility could change cities in future by reutilising the past. Four bold drafts have been published.
Working on the presumption that electric cars “could be the catalyst for major transformation of urban environments around the world”, the project set forth to design a cityscape to help put this concept on paper to present at an event at the Stratstone Mayfair Jaguar dealership.
Ian Callum, Jaguar’s I-Pace designer adds: “There’s a natural synergy between car design and architecture, and architects are generally very keen on sustainability. For car designers, electrification allows us to do something different – it’s the most freedom I’ve had in 40 years of designing cars.”
