Formula E signs Bosch as official sponsor
The electric racing series Formula E is becoming ever more illustrious. The latest supporter is Bosch. Their sponsorship includes advertising at the race course, on TV and online. In other news, the FE poached a new driver from the F1 and confirms a race in Bern.
Whether Bosch will deliver technology to the contestants at some points is unclear but not impossible. The supplier is a long-time DTM partner as well as the source of numerous prototypes and touring vehicles for the World Endurance Championship.
Another move is certain though. Pascal Wehrlein, a former race driver in the Formula 1, will swap seats and take over the steering wheel in the Formula E. Starting this season, Wehrlein will compete alongside Jerome D’Ambrosio for Mahindra Racing. He is replacing compatriot Nick Heidfeld, who will stay with the team but on the bench in future.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the Formula E 2019 will be held in Bern. Therefore Switzerland remains part of the racing calendar, despite Zurich’s cancellation of the race for the coming year.
