Lexus promotes hybrid cars over electric vehicles
Toyota’s premium brand Lexus is making some noise for its conventional hybrid technology but rather than singing its praise over purely petrol-powered cars, they try to set themselves above plug-in hybrid cars and electric vehicles.
So, Lexus hybrids are “self-charging” and offer “infinite range” claims the advert. What Lexus fail to add is that such range comes at a high price at the gas station and to the earth. Moreover, why would a company making hybrid cars shoot against other electrified vehicles? Is it class envy, or cannibalistic tendencies or sheer short-term thinking? Surely this will backfire.
