Volvo Trucks appoints Jobson as VP for e-mobility
Volvo Trucks is reenforcing the reigns to bundle their electric transport activities. Edward Jobson is to act as Vice President for the new Electromobility unit charged with developing electrified solutions for city logistics.
Edward Jobson most recently held a position as Chief Engineer at Volvo Buses and has experience in sustainable transport.
The engineer has Master of Science degree from Chalmers University of Technology, where he has been an Associate Professor. Moreover, he acquired a PhD from ETH in Zürich.
In his new role Jobson will develop and lead work in Volvo Trucks Electromobility unit.
So far Volvo Trucks introduced two all-electric trucks for urban operations, the Volvo FE Electric and Volvo FL Electric. The latter is a 16-ton electric truck first introduced as a garbage collector in Gothenburg. The FE Electric comes in at 26 tons and is almost twice as strong as the FL.
