Dodge accidentally starts advertising EVs
Of all companies, now Dodge has made advertising which benefits EVs more than their own product. The US manufacturer advertised their gasoline burner Challenger as the fastest serial vehicle for acceleration from 0 to 100 miles per hour. They added a footnote, however, adding that the comparison does not apply for EVs.
While EVs have not been strongly marketed by EV auto manufacturers, as Tesla, for example completely refuses traditional market channels, it seems the US auto industry got bored and decided to pick up the slack. Of course, it is also possible that the time is simply coming when electrified transport technology overtakes combustion engines as an efficient and fun mode of transport.
This is rather hilarious. Dodge promoting their Challenger as the fastest 0-100 mph production car in the world but the small letters read "excluding electric vehicles". Even marketers at traditional OEM's don't know anymore what their cars' unique selling points are. #EV pic.twitter.com/Ho3Jb2l7k2
