Thief too dumb to drive EV
A criminal in Austin, Texas was apprehended after attempting to highjack a Chevy Bolt EV. The man was able to get into the car, but obviously was not aware of just how different it is to drive an electric car: He failed to get away with the vehicle, as he “didn’t know how to drive electric”, the police noted.
After smashing a window and entering the car, the thief attacked the driver, who promptly exited the vehicle, stating that “he did not want to die over a car.” The thief then discovered that he had no idea how to drive the vehicle, leading to a bit of an awkward getaway, which was interrupted by an unrelated witness, who stormed to the rescue armed with a machete.
