Renault scrappage scheme for commercial vehicles – UK
Renault Pro+ Commercial Vehicles have launched a new line of offers that includes a deal for the electric Kangoo Z.E. van. When handing in any old van, clients in the UK may get 2,000 pounds off the price of a new electric van.
Renault is offering a new ZE Scrappage deal for the Kangoo ZE33 all-electric van. Customers exchanging any van registered before December 2010 can receive an extra 2,000 pounds off the price of a new van.
The offer includes a 0% Hire Purchase offer over three years with servicing included. The contract hire offer is six months advance rental and 206 pounds per month for three years. The deal is valid throughout February and March 2018.
After having presented the new Kangoo Z.E. last summer, Renault had given it an overhaul with a new 44 kW electric motor and a 33 kWh battery. It increases the car’s range from 170 to 270 km (NEDC) while clients may own rather than lease the battery for the first time (we reported).
It puts the Renault electric van on par with Nissan’s eNV200. It too got an overhaul reportedly and will become available in Spring this year across Europe.
Together, the Alliance of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi is venturing into commercial vehicle terrain, also abroad. In China, Reanult has formed a joint venture with Brilliance in December last year. Renault-Brilliance-Jinbei Automotive wants to produce 150,000 light commercial vehicles (LCV) annually as well as medium and heavy vans.
