BYD secures Egypt’s first electric bus order
The first electric buses to ever reach Egypt will be send by BYD within the first half of this year. The Chinese manufacturer secured an order from Alexandria that wants to run 15 electric buses for a start.
Egypt’s second largest city will receive 15 electric buses and charging infrastructure. BYD will deliver the K9, a 12 metre, all-electric model and 18 charging points. The K9 has a range of 250 kilometres.
The order follows BYD’s successful bid in a competitive tender.
