Jaguar to make its next-gen XJ an electric flagship

The model’s official presentation is scheduled for late-2018 with first units rolling off the production lines by 2019.
The XJ would be Jaguar’s second all-electric model next to its upcoming I-Pace. As reported, the British carmaker announced pricing and full tech specs for the I-Pace to be released in March – along with the opening of the order book.
By 2020, Jaguar Land Rover intends to electrify every upcoming model. Its electrification strategy involves cars with all-electric drivetrains as well as PHEVs and mild hybrids.
