Zero-emission vessels pay less fees for Port of Amsterdam
Inland navigation vessels benefit from new fee regulations concerning Amsterdam and Zaanstad port waters. Since 1st of January, zero-emission ships pay 20 less than their conventional-powered equivalents.
The port authority applies the new discount to vessels with a Green Award Platinum label. That is a certification scheme introduced by the organisation Green Award last month. Just vessels with an environmental performance better than the legal minimum requirements have a chance to get the label.
Amsterdam and Zaanstad are now the first Dutch ports to introduce a rebate for inland navigation vessels featuring the new label.
