FAW, Dongfeng and Changan form new EV alliance

Three major Chinese carmakers have signed a strategic partnership: FAW, Dongfeng and Changan want to cooperate on a large scale – also regarding electrified vehicles.

The state-owned trio seeks to jointly develop platforms and drivetrains but also to identify potential synergies in their purchase, production and sales units. Among the upcoming projects is also a common R&D centre with focus on EV tech and lightweight design.
