Cologne and Düsseldorf to expand their electric bus fleets

The German cities Cologne and Düsseldorf are able to expand their electric bus fleets thanks to funding provided by the federal state of Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Cologne’s public transport provider gains 13.3m euros to procure 50 electric buses due in 2021, Düsseldorf will see 10 new buses by 2019. Through these additional procurements, Cologne’s electric-powered fleet will grow to 59 units, Düsseldorf’s fleet to 12 units.
