Hybrid SUV Lexus RX comes with seven seats

Lexus has revealed a seven-seater version of its RX model at the L.A. Motor Show. The RX 450hL is a large SUV that will be launched in the U.S. also as PHEV model. The latter couples a 3.5 litre engine with two electric motors.

The PHEV model is said to achieve a total system output of 230 kW (313 hp). To give space to up to seven passengers, Lexus has added 110mm length to the regular RX. Base pricing for the seven-seater RX 450hL starts at 49,000 dollars.
