Gilles Normand of Renault EV unit on e-mobility as ecosystem

In the electrive.com Studio powered by P3 at the EVS30, we spoke with Gilles Normand from Renault. As Senior Vice President Global Electric Vehicle Business he leads all things electric mobility and drives the Group’s electrification offensive.

His vision for 2030 is one of symbiosis, i.e. an ecosystem in which electric cars seamlessly integrate into energy, smart grid, and mobile applications. Normand also gives insights into how to generate value from e-mobility and wants EVs to be on par with ICEs around 2020. When it comes to battery making in Europe, Renault’s position is pragmatic, that is any solution has to be cost and quality competitive – naturellement.
