Nissan’s Note e-Power to be launched in the States?

Nissan seems to consider introducing its Note e-Power with range extender in the States, promoting it there as Versa Note e-Power. New spy shots show how the hybrid model is undergoing road tests in Michigan.

The model runs with an 1.2-liter engine that charges an internal battery pack that feeds again an electric motor. It is designed to particularly meet urban requirements and – after a test period in its domestic market in Japan – has turned out to be popular enough to surpass the Prius C in sales.
