Austria continues e-mobility funding: It is the 9th call the Austrian Climate and Energy Fund raises since 2009 and this time it promises an additional 6m euros to support flagship projects in the field of electric transport. Companies can apply with their research projects, e.g. the development of EVs, charging stations or transport services until October, 4 but must bear in mind that the call is decisively “zero emission” and thus for all-electric solutions only. A connection to public transport or intelligent infrastructure will be beneficial.

E-rickshaws in Stockholm: The beloved Indian three-wheeled have moved to Sweden, where Bzzt launched 18 electric rickshaws. In Stockholm they call them taxi-pods that have space for two passengers besides the driver. The company wants to expand its fleet to 200 vehicles through crowdfunding until next year and so investors are welcome to take a seat.

Joint order of fuel cell buses: German WSW mobil is seeking to procure 63 fuel cell buses for public transport operations. The tender is part of the EU project JIVE, that fosters bulk orders for hydrogen buses in the UK, Denmark, Italy, and Germany. Here, Verkehrsverbund Mainz-Wiesbaden, traffiQ Frankfurt, Regionalverkehr Köln (Cologne) will take deliveries, while some will also go to SASA in Bolzano, Italy.

30.000 electric buses for Guangzhou? Within 3 years, the Chinese mega city wants to replace its entire bus fleet through all-electric buses.
